Cars are primarily made of metal. In countries in the tropics cars heat up incredibly.
I would like a paint that can be used for cars to insulate them against heat.
The paint could be done in car factory at manufacture stage or be provided as a spray on paint. In the former case they would be more effective as the layer may be well applied. In the later there may be need for multiple layers.
As some of this technology already exists its a question of bring it to the right markets are quickly. It is also very important to get the product delivery right and to package the use for a consumer market.
The price must be right. Here are some of the technologies:

Mobile Phone Design: Keypad at the top.
Using the current mobile phones is a little difficult on my fingers. I am sure that we get used to the most uncomfortable products.
Its just a thought, can we design the mobile phone with the screen at the bottom half of the phone. The key pad would be restricted to the top of the phone.
This would enable users to hold the phone in the palm of their hands. The fingers would get far more flexibility. It would also allow users to use the thumb in a downward action to click on a touch screen phone.
It would also enable designers to create buttons on the side of the phone something akin to gaming devices.

Wet Suit: Air padded
As I was speaking with my child about her holiday at the beach in San Diego I got an idea.
I think that a wet suit could be infused with a layer of air to make the swimmer more buoyant. This may also prove to be a good insulation.
For young swimmers it may be helpful.

Running Rhythm: the device
We all have run with some sort of music. Some of runners are a little more serious about our running and have goals and time targets.
After browsing the Net for good music to run to, I found that most if it is linear and can't really match my rhythm.
In one of my races I had a pace setter, more like a person who I wanted to beat. He managed to help me keep my pace.
In my mind I started to think up the ideal rhythm and pace setting device. Hence Running Rhythm.
It will be in two formats software and hardware device. The software would be available for free download where you cannot save the settings for more that 30 min. You can down load it as an app on any smart phone. The device on the other hand would be small and compact with buttons for each of the features. One could connect it to the computer to upload your favorite songs.
The functionality: same as a metronome but with bass beats and musical instruments. It would allow you to sync your songs with the beat and rhythm you wanted. The basic metronome would be programmable to accommodate duration of the run and varying pace. The complete chart of the race can be set in advance and loaded. The beat would help sync with cadence.
The software app would be great for people who don't have smart phone but use an MP3 player. It would allow them to save the entire chart as an MP3 song.
Again an idea for Addidas, Reebok or Nike.

Leg raise Ab Crunch- Doorway Edition
There is an excellent Ab crunch stand in my Gym. It has two arm rests with handles. It has a foot rest on each side to stand on to hoist oneself up to the arm rest. As a back rest there is a thick rubber balloon. The idea is to raise your legs and work the lower abs. This is a very large stand and wont fit in most houses.
My version is some thing that can fit in the door way of any house. It works on the principle of the pull up bar that has one side that screws out to fit tightly in the door way. My device would need two more rods one under each side arm rest as support. These rods would help to stabilize the motion by using the leg raise motion and hence pressure.
For the back rest we would continue to use a smaller rubber inflatable ball.
Idea for any fitness equipment manufacturer like http://www.reebok.com or http://www.nike.com

Nike Product - Running Trainer
Running shoes that can train you. Wow what an idea and the only company I know that can do that is Nike. In line with their existing product line of running shoes I would like the company to try to develop the ultimate running trainer.
The sole construction would consist of sensors based on air pressure. The air pockets themselves would serve as cushion. The sensors attached to each the air pods would relay information to a central chip. The relay wires can serve as a design to lead to the docking port for the detachable chip. The device can should have some on board memory to load a training schedule. The device can have two or three models, one that emits distinct sounds to correct the foot strike, one model that transmits data to a running watch that gives an image also, and another that transmits images to special goggles.
An alternative to the air pods would be a soul construction embedded with rubber sensors that create a complete color coded image based on foot strike. The image would be in the shape of the foot. As the feet alternate the image would be the same. The on board memory would store the complete running record and could be downloaded to the computer post the run.
The device would come with computer software with configurable running parameters - pace, foot type, ryhthm.
